Atomic Data on Inelastic Processes in Boron-Hydrogen Collisions

A. K. Belyaev et al.

Summary: In this study, inelastic processes in collisions of boron atoms and cations with hydrogen atoms and anions were investigated, with a focus on mutual neutralization, ion-pair formation, excitation, and deexcitation processes. Quantum calculations showed that the largest rate coefficient corresponds to mutual neutralization process.

Isotopic effects in low-energy lithium-hydrogen collisions

Andrey K. Belyaev et al.

Summary: The study investigates the inelastic processes in lithium-hydrogen collisions and their isotopic effects. It reveals that the isotopic effects vary for different collisional partners and electronic states, with the resonance transition process exhibiting the strongest isotopic effects. Unfortunately, experimental data is lacking for processes with strong isotopic effects.

Light Elements in the Universe

Sofia Randich et al.

Summary: Light elements such as lithium, beryllium, and boron, as well as carbon, nitrogen, and oxygen, play a crucial role in investigating various issues in modern astrophysics. Precise measurements of these elements are challenging, but advances in instrumentation have allowed for high-quality abundance determinations in stars of different types, providing new insights and raising new questions. Opportunities for further advancement in understanding light-element patterns and evolution in the Universe are on the horizon with the development of new generation instrumentation.
