Dual function metal-organic frameworks based ratiometric electrochemical sensor for detection of doxorubicin

Summary: Cancer is a major disease threatening human health worldwide. In this study, a ratiometric electrochemical sensor based on MB@MWCNTs/UiO-66-NH2 composites was designed for the detection of the anti-cancer drug doxorubicin (DOX). The UiO-66-NH2 material demonstrated dual functions of reducing error and catalyzing DOX, while also acting as an internal reference through its ability to absorb molecules. The optimized sensor showed a wide linear detection range and low detection limit, making it promising for the analysis of actual human saliva samples.

Fabrication of novel carbon dots/cerium oxide nanocomposites for highly sensitive electrochemical detection of doxorubicin

Summary: In this study, carbon dots/cerium oxide nanocomposites were developed for the highly sensitive and selective detection of the anticancer drug doxorubicin. The nanocomposites exhibited higher efficiency in promoting electron transfer reaction, and the 5 wt% nanocomposite showed the highest oxidation response towards doxorubicin. The modified sensor exhibited a linear response between oxidation peak current and doxorubicin concentration, with a low detection limit and superior selectivity.

Summary: In this study, the stable growth of vertically-ordered mesoporous silica films (VMSF) on the glassy carbon electrode (GCE) using boron nitride-reduced graphene oxide (BN-rGO) nanocomposite is reported for the detection of Carbendazim (CBZ). The proposed VMSF/BN-rGO/GCE shows high sensitivity, wide linear range, and low limit of detection for CBZ. Moreover, the VMSF/BN-rGO/GCE allows for direct and rapid electrochemical analysis of CBZ in pond water and grape juice samples without complicated sample treatment processes.

Vertically-ordered mesoporous silica films on graphene for anti-fouling electrochemical detection of tert-butylhydroquinone in cosmetics and edible oils

Summary: This study demonstrates the electrochemical preparation of graphene on glassy carbon electrode (GCE) for stable growth of vertically-ordered mesoporous silica films (VMSF) and investigates its anti-fouling electrochemical detection performance of tert-butylhydroquinone (TBHQ) in toning lotion and edible oil samples. The obtained VMSF/ErGO/GCE shows excellent analytical sensitivity, a low limit of detection, and a wide linear range towards TBHQ, making it a green and effective approach for sensitively determining TBHQ with good anti-fouling ability and long-term stability.

Direct detection of Pb2+ and Cd2+ in juice and beverage samples using PDMS modified nanochannels electrochemical sensors
