Optimization of the Extraction Procedure for the Phenolic-Rich Glechoma hederacea L. Herb and Evaluation of Its Cytotoxic and Antioxidant Potential

Karolina Grabowska et al.

Summary: Different extraction techniques, solvents, and processing times were studied for their impact on the content of phenolic compounds in Glechoma hederacea L. herb extracts. It was found that the HRE/ethanol and I/ME-water procedures were optimal for obtaining extracts rich in bioactive phenolics, which exhibited high antioxidant activity and were non-toxic to normal human cells.
