Porous stainless-steel fibers supported CuCeFeOx/Zeolite catalysts for the enhanced CO oxidation: Experimental and kinetic studies

Longwen Chen et al.

Summary: In this study, ternary CuCeFeOx catalysts supported on zeolite/PSF were synthesized for the first time to develop high-performance and cost-effective catalysts and investigate the kinetics of CO oxidation. The PSF-supported catalysts showed significantly improved catalytic performance compared to granular catalysts, attributed to increased mass/heat transfer efficiency and high dispersion of active metal oxide species. Characterization results revealed that the enhanced catalytic activity was due to increased reducibility of metal oxides and formation of more oxygen vacancies. Kinetic studies suggested that CO oxidation over the PSF-supported catalysts followed a pseudo-first-order kinetic mechanism.

Fenton-Type Bimetallic Catalysts for Degradation of Dyes in Aqueous Solutions

Bebiana L. C. Santos et al.

Summary: This study developed mono and bimetallic Fenton-type catalysts using Y zeolites as support for the degradation of dye compounds in aqueous phase. The bimetallic catalysts showed higher oxidation rate compared to mono-metallic catalysts, with CuFe-NaY demonstrating the best mineralization rate for PY oxidation and MnFe-NaY showing the highest activity for Tar degradation. This research may contribute to the design of Fenton-type bimetallic catalysts with enhanced catalytic properties for environmental remediation.
