Nickel-based bimetallic battery-type materials for asymmetric supercapacitors

Yanqun Tang et al.

Summary: The development of advanced energy storage systems, such as supercapacitors with ideal capacity and durability, is crucial for mitigating intermittency issues associated with natural energy resources. By leveraging the synergistic effects of electrode materials, asymmetric supercapacitors are able to achieve a large voltage window while overcoming traditional supercapacitors' energy storage limitations.

Graphene Oxide/Carbon Tube Composite Films with Tunable Porous Structures for Electromagnetic Interference Shielding

Xiao-Yun Wang et al.

Summary: Carbon nanomaterials have attracted significant attention in the field of electromagnetic interference shielding due to their light weight and high electrical conductivity. In this study, a porous reduced graphene oxide/wCT film (rGWF) was successfully fabricated using a new type of carbon tube, whisker CT (wCT), and graphene oxide (GO) as a bridging and foaming agent. The rGWF exhibited outstanding electrical conductivity and excellent EMI shielding effectiveness in a broad frequency range. Electromagnetic simulation confirmed the influence of the porous structures on the polarization direction and distribution of attenuated EM waves, and the rGWF showed remarkable near-field shielding performance, demonstrating its potential application in electronic packaging.
