Effect of concurrent accumulative roll bonding (ARB) process and various heat treatment on the microstructure, texture and mechanical properties of AA1050 sheets

H. Roghani et al.

Summary: This study investigated the microstructure, texture, and mechanical properties of 1050 aluminum alloy sheets that underwent the accumulative roll bonding (ARB) method. The results showed that ARB significantly refined the grain size and improved the microhardness of the aluminum alloy sheets, with variations observed under different processing conditions.

On the evolution of microstructure and fracture behavior of multilayered copper sheet fabricated by accumulative roll bonding

A. R. Eivani et al.

Summary: The evolution of microstructure, dislocation density, and voids in multi-layer copper sheets during ARB and annealing treatments were investigated. It was found that these factors affect tensile properties and electrical resistivity. Changes in void characteristics and density during deformation and annealing were observed, impacting the mechanical and electrical properties of the multi-layer copper sheets.

Interactions between Dislocations and Boundaries during Deformation

Hongjiang Pan et al.

Summary: In this paper, the interactions between dislocations and boundaries during deformation at ambient temperatures are reviewed, with a focus on interaction behaviors, boundary resistances and energies, transmission mechanisms, grain size effects, and other primary influencing factors. The structure of boundaries and interactions between dislocations and boundaries in metals with different grain sizes are summarized, and the advantages and drawbacks of in-situ techniques are briefly discussed based on experimental and simulation results. The latest studies and fundamental concepts are presented in the hope that this paper can serve as a reference for the interactions between dislocations and boundaries during deformation.
