Tunable Pr3+:LiYF4 lasers in the green-red spectral region

Huilong Liu et al.

Summary: A tunable Pr3+:LiYF4 laser was demonstrated to operate at nine different laser wavelengths using a single birefringent filter, with new wavelengths obtained and a total tuning range exceeding 190nm. Additionally, a continuous-wave simultaneous dual-wavelength laser was achieved by adjusting the rotation angle of the filter plate, showing maximum output powers at 698nm and 720nm.

Tunable continuous-wave dual-wavelength laser operation of Pr3+:LiYF4 around 900 nm

Jiaxin He et al.

Summary: In this study, the first tunable continuous-wave simultaneous dual-wavelength laser operation of a Pr3+:LiYF4 crystal in the 900 nm spectral range using a single birefringent filter (BF) was achieved by adjusting the rotation angle of the BF. CW simultaneous dual-wavelength lasers operating at 869 and 915 nm, 894 and 915 nm, 915 and 923 nm were obtained respectively.

Optical vortex lattice mode generation from a diode-pumped Pr3+:LiYF4 laser

A. Srinivasa Rao et al.

Summary: This study presents the direct generation of optical vortex lattice (OVL) modes from a diode-pumped Pr:YLF laser by utilizing off-axis and defocused pumping geometries, resulting in more than 40 phase singularities. The observed OVL modes are well explained by a theoretical analysis based on the superposition of Hermite-Gaussian modes. The study also discusses the intracavity frequency doubling of the OVL modes and suggests potential applications in fundamental optical science and advanced material engineering.
