Unified matrix representation for spin and orbital angular momentum in partially coherent beams

Summary: A matrix representation for stationary beamlike light fields is introduced to deal with orbital angular momentum (OAM) and spatial coherence. The coherence-OAM matrix is discussed as the counterpart to the beam coherence-polarization matrix. The coherence-SAM-OAM matrix is introduced as a unified entity for treating beams with various coherence, spin, and orbital angular momentum states.

Domain multiplexed computer-generated holography by embedded wavevector filtering algorithm

Summary: Computer-generated holography can achieve arbitrary intensity distributions in space with the wavefront obtained. However, speckle noises continue to be a challenge. A new algorithm for hologram generation and a unique multiplexing scheme using a Fourier lens have been proposed in this work. This technology shows potential for doubling the capacity of current holographic systems and offers various interesting display applications.
