Accuracy of metal 3D printed frameworks for removable partial dentures evaluated by digital superimposition

Kyung Chul Oh et al.

Summary: The accuracy of metal 3D printed frameworks for removable partial dentures was evaluated and compared to conventional frameworks and resin printing/casting workflows. The results showed that metal 3D printed frameworks have similar internal discrepancies as conventional frameworks and meet clinical standards.

Accuracy of orthodontic models prototyped for clear aligners therapy: A 3D imaging analysis comparing different market segments 3D printing protocols

Pietro Venezia et al.

Summary: This study evaluated the accuracy of orthodontic models generated for clear aligners using four 3D printers with different technologies and market segments. The results showed that the accuracy of the models can be influenced by the technology and market segment of the printers used. The entry-level 3D printer was able to achieve accuracy close to the accepted clinical error for producing clear aligners.

Trueness of 3D printed partial denture frameworks: build orientations and support structure density parameters

Mostafa Omran Hussein et al.

Summary: This study assessed the influence of build orientations and density of support structures on the trueness of 3D printed removable partial denture frameworks. The results showed that build orientation had an influence on framework accuracy, while the difference in support structure density had little effect on accuracy.

Influences of build angle on the accuracy, printing time, and material consumption of additively manufactured surgical templates

David Diaz Rubayo et al.

Summary: This study aimed to evaluate the effects of different build angles on the accuracy, printing time, and material consumption of additively manufactured surgical templates using a desktop SLA 3D printer and photopolymerizing resin material. The results showed that the 0-degree and 45-degree build angles produced the most accurate surgical templates, while the 90-degree build angle produced the least accurate surgical template.
