Stapled Liposomes Enhance Cross-Priming of Radio-Immunotherapy

Yu Zhao et al.

Summary: The development of an antigen-capturing stapled liposome (ACSL) enhances the cross-presentation of tumor-associated antigens in dendritic cells, leading to a strong anti-tumor immune response. In mouse models, ACSL encapsulating l-arginine significantly suppresses tumor growth and induces an abscopal effect. This suggests that ACSL could be a universal platform for the rapid development of various combinations of anticancer therapies using radiosensitizers, photosensitizers, and photothermal agents.

Advanced Strategies of Enzyme Activity Regulation for Biomedical Applications

Zihan Chen et al.

Summary: Enzymes are important biocatalysts that play a crucial role in accelerating chemical reactions in living organisms. The regulation of enzyme activity is closely related to human diseases and holds potential as a therapeutic approach. This review summarizes recent advances in enzyme activity regulation, discusses mechanisms and approaches for controlling enzyme activities, and provides an overview of the biomedical applications of stimulus-responsive inhibitors, polymers, and nanoparticles in regulating enzyme activity. The challenges and future perspectives in enzyme activity regulation are also discussed.
