Effect of surface manganese oxide species on soot catalytic combustion of Ce-Mn-O catalyst

Yi Zhu et al.

Summary: Constructing bimetallic catalysts of cerium and manganese with excellent catalytic performance for soot combustion is currently a research frontier. Experimental results show that the catalytic activity increases first and then decreases with the increase of manganese content within a certain range. The key factors for catalytic activity are the easily reducible and highly dispersed surface manganese oxide species, as well as the contact performance of the external surface, when the adsorbed surface oxygen, lattice oxygen, specific surface area, and total reduction amount of the catalysts reach a certain value.

Mechanism of CeO2 synthesized by thermal decomposition of Ce-MOF and its performance of benzene catalytic combustion

Jie Zheng et al.

Summary: This study investigated the formation mechanism and catalytic combustion performance of mesoporous CeO2 synthesized by thermal decomposition of Ce-MOF, as well as the structure-activity relationship between them. It was found that CeO2 (400) exhibited the highest specific surface area and pore volume, with excellent catalytic activity for benzene degradation, while Pt/CeO2 (400) showed high durability and water resistance during benzene combustion.

CeCoOx-MNS catalyst derived from three-dimensional mesh nanosheet Co-based metal-organic frameworks for highly efficient catalytic combustion of VOCs

Fang Dong et al.

Summary: Various three-dimensional Co-based metal organic frameworks (Co-MOFs) are successfully synthesized, including three-dimensional nanocube, mesh nanosheets, and prismatic nanotube Co-MOFs. The CeCoOx-MNS catalyst derived from Co-MOFs-MNS precursor exhibits superior activity for VOCs oxidation, with more Co3+ and Ce3+ species, and abundant surface weak acid sites. In situ DRIFTS results indicate the main reaction intermediates and potential reaction pathway.
