Trajectories of Resilience and Posttraumatic Stress in Childhood Cancer: Consistency of Child and Parent Outcomes

Katianne Sharp et al.

Summary: The study found two trajectory solutions for PTSS in children and caregivers with a history of cancer: a resilient class with low and declining PTSS over time, and an elevated PTSS class with a significant increase over time. There was a small but significant relationship between child and caregiver trajectories. The observed trajectories were more strongly associated with dispositional variables than medical factors.
