Facile Synthesis of Bimetal Nickel Cobalt Phosphate Nanostructures for High-Performance Hybrid Supercapacitors

Electrodeposited crumpled MoS2 nanoflakes for asymmetric supercapacitor

Summary: Transition metal chalcogenides, specifically molybdenum disulfide (MoS2), have attracted attention in the field of energy storage due to their unique properties. In this study, MoS2 was successfully deposited on Ni foam using a one-step electrode-position method, resulting in an interconnected crumpled-nanoflake structure. The MoS2 electrodes exhibited excellent electrochemical performance, with a maximum areal capacitance of 416.9 mFcm?2. An asymmetric device constructed with MoS2 and activated carbon as electrodes showed promising energy storage capabilities, with an areal capacitance of 277.3 mFcm(-2) and energy density of 0.15 mWhcm(-2) at 5.33 mWcm(-2) power density. Furthermore, the device demonstrated high cyclability and coulombic efficiency, making MoS2 and MoS2//AC devices potential candidates for emerging energy storage applications.

Long-term cycling loops also revealed partial phase transformations to more stable FeOOH.

Cobalt-Nickel Phosphate Composites for the All-Phosphate Asymmetric Supercapacitor and Oxygen Evolution Reaction
