Current Progress in Understanding the Structure and Function of Sweet Taste Receptor

Liu Yang et al.

Summary: The sweet taste receptor, identified approximately 20 years ago, plays a crucial role in sweet taste recognition in humans and vertebrates. Advancements in genomics, metabolomics, structural biology, evolutionary biology, physiology, and neuroscience have significantly enhanced our understanding of this important protein. Insights provided in this review may guide personalized feeding, diet, and medicine, with proposed prospective research directions on sweet taste receptors.

Pyridazinone derivatives as potential anti-inflammatory agents: synthesis and biological evaluation as PDE4 inhibitors

Ingrid Allart-Simon et al.

Summary: This study describes the development and characterization of pyridazinone derivatives as potential PDE4 inhibitors for anti-inflammatory therapy. Among these derivatives, one compound showed promising activity and selectivity towards PDE4B isoenzymes, regulating potent pro-inflammatory cytokine and chemokine production by human primary macrophages.
