Threshold dynamics and density function of a stochastic epidemic model with media coverage and mean-reverting Ornstein-Uhlenbeck process

Baoquan Zhou et al.

Summary: This paper investigates a stochastic epidemic model with media coverage and biologically reasonable stochastic effects. The introduction of Ornstein-Uhlenbeck processes as stochastic effects is explained and mathematically justified. The paper proves the uniqueness and global existence of the solution to the stochastic model and the existence of an ergodic stationary distribution. The results are verified through numerical simulations, and the impact of stochastic noises and media coverage on epidemic transmission is studied.

Dynamics of a stochastic delayed avian influenza model with mutation and temporary immunity

Ting Kang et al.

Summary: This paper studies the dynamic behaviors of a stochastic delayed avian influenza model with mutation and temporary immunity. The existence and uniqueness of the global positive solution for the stochastic model are proved, and sufficient conditions for extinction and persistence in the mean are established for the avian-only subsystem and avian-human system. Numerical simulations support the conclusion that the vaccination immunity period can suppress the spread of avian influenza in poultry and human populations, while promoting the spread of mutant avian influenza in the human population.
