Infertility in women with bowel endometriosis: first-line assisted reproductive technology results in satisfactory cumulative live-birth rates

Summary: A prospective study on bowel endometriosis patients found that those who had not undergone surgery for endometriosis prior to ART treatment showed a satisfactory cumulative live-birth rate of 64.4%. The majority of these patients had associated endometriomas and adenomyosis.

Fertility in patients with untreated rectosigmoid endometriosis

Summary: In a retrospective analysis of 215 women with rectosigmoid endometriosis not treated by surgery, the study found a total pregnancy rate of 47.9% and live birth rate of 45.1%. Patients undergoing IVF treatment took significantly longer to conceive compared to those who conceived naturally or through IUI.
