Construction of Ta-Cu7S4 negative electrode for high-performance all-solid-state asymmetric supercapacitor

Xuzhao Han et al.

Summary: Developing electronic structure of electrode materials by substituting high-valence metal ions is an effective approach to enhance electro-chemical activity. In this study, Ta-Cu7S4 materials with a unique hollow structure were fabricated as negative electrode materials for solid-state supercapacitors. DFT calculations confirmed that Ta substitution optimized electronic structure, resulting in improved electrical conductivity and more active sites, leading to excellent supercapacitor performances.
