Regulating the recrystallized grain to induce strong cube texture in oriented silicon steel

Mengcheng Zhou et al.

Summary: A strong cube texture with ODF density of 50.73 mrd was successfully obtained by regulating the recrystallized grain orientation using cross-rolling and pulsed electric current. The recrystallized grain size of pulsed samples is about twice that of the annealed sample, achieved through the concurrent effects of electron wind force and Joule heating.

A novel approach based on pattern recognition techniques to evaluate magnetic properties of a non-grain oriented electrical steel in the secondary recrystallization process

Larissa Moreira Duarte et al.

Summary: This paper proposes a new automatic approach based on machine learning strategies to associate the microstructural conditions of NGO steels with their magnetic losses, and evaluates the proposal through computer experiments. The study overcomes the issues of small database and class imbalance, achieving 88.9% accuracy with real samples using the LSSVM classifier.

How non-conventional machining affects the surface integrity and magnetic properties of non-oriented electrical steel

Kieran Winter et al.

Summary: This study investigated the impact of four unconventional machining methods on the magnetic properties of non-oriented electrical steel laminations, revealing that traditional machining methods have little effect on the micro-magnetic domain structure, while non-conventional machining can affect the magnetic properties of the surface.

Evolution of {0kl} ⟨1 0 0⟩ texture and microstructure in preparation of ultra-thin grain-oriented silicon steel

Li Meng et al.

Summary: In this study, an ultra-thin grain-oriented silicon steel strip with superior magnetic properties was prepared through rolling and annealing processes. The nucleation behavior of different orientations inside the steel strip significantly affected its final magnetic properties. The dominance of specific texture and structure in the steel strip played a crucial role in determining its magnetic properties.
