Jie Guo et al.

Summary: Research shows that doping CsCdBr3 NRs with Pb2+ can significantly improve their optoelectronic properties, resulting in a blue emission with a quantum yield of 48% and centered at 459 nm. Additionally, using the optimized NRs as the emissive layer, a blue perovskite LED based on 1D NRs was successfully fabricated.

Enhanced Performance of Two-Photon Excited Amplified Spontaneous Emission by Cd-Alloyed CsPbBr3 Nanocrystals

Junzi Li et al.

Summary: It has been demonstrated that alloyed perovskite nanocrystals (NCs) with a small amount of Cd element can improve the stability of perovskite NCs. In this study, a series of CsPbxCd1-xBr3 NCs were synthesized using different amounts of CdBr2 as an alloyed metal precursor. The alloyed NCs exhibited a near-unity photoluminescence quantum yield, improved stability, and enhanced electron-phonon coupling strength, indicating their potential application as a laser gain medium.

Investigation of Hot Carrier Cooling Dynamics in Monolayer MoS2

Wenyan Wang et al.

Summary: The hot carrier cooling dynamics in monolayer MoS2 C-excitonic state is affected by the hot phonon bottleneck and Auger heating effects, and can be prolonged by increasing the excitation photon energy or absorbed photon flux. The combination of these effects weakens the hot phonon bottleneck and extends the hot carrier lifetime, which has implications for various applications in advanced energy conversion and quantum technology.

Metal Halide Perovskites for Laser Applications

Lei Lei et al.

Summary: Metal halide perovskites are gaining attention in optoelectronic applications due to their properties such as large absorption coefficient, low defect density, and high charge carrier mobility. While progress has been made in perovskite-based lasers, the development is still in its early stages and electrically pumped lasers have not been realized yet. Understanding the fundamental photophysical characteristics of perovskite gain materials is crucial to accelerating their development in laser applications.

Engineering the Bandgap and Surface Structure of CsPbCl3 Nanocrystals to Achieve Efficient Ultraviolet Luminescence

Yunqin Zhang et al.

Summary: A novel ultraviolet luminescent CsPbCl3 nanocrystals with emission peak at 381 nm were designed by doping cadmium ions, and their photoluminescence quantum yield was significantly improved through surface passivation strategy. The higher PLQY and better stability after surface passivation may be attributed to the elimination of surface chloride vacancy defects.

Layer number-dependent optoelectronic characteristics of quasi-2D PBA2(MAPbBr3)n-1PbBr4 perovskite films

Lianfei Yao et al.

Summary: Halide perovskites have shown potential in light-emitting diodes, lasers, and detectors, and a series of quasi-2D PBA(2)(MAPbBr(3))(n-1)PbBr4 perovskite films have been synthesized to study their optoelectronic properties. The results indicate that the physical behavior and performance of these films are dependent on the layer number (n). Temperature-dependent photoluminescence and amplified spontaneous emission tests reveal the unique characteristics of the perovskite films with different layer numbers.
