First application of a new seismo-electric streamer for combined resistivity and seismic measurements along linearly extended earth structures

A. Arato et al.

Summary: Linearly extended earth structures require specific characterization tools for evaluating stability conditions. Geophysical surveys provide imaging of parameter variations along the whole structures and can be used as fast-screening tools. This paper presents the first application of a new seismo-electric streamer, which allows simultaneous acquisition of seismic and electric data, resulting in reduced survey time and increased efficiency.

Evaluation of different methods for deriving geotechnical parameters from electric and seismic streamer data

Federico Vagnon et al.

Summary: This paper discusses the estimation of geotechnical parameters using geophysical survey data, including theoretical, statistical, and field-based methods. The strengths and limitations of each method were evaluated through comparison with direct geotechnical investigations. The results show the effectiveness of the geophysical survey method as a preliminary screening tool for earth retaining structure safety assessment.
