Pollution Emissions and Economic Growth Revisited: A Novel Model of Spatial Hyperbolic Decomposition in Sewage Reduction Risk Management

Shun Jia Liu et al.

Summary: This paper investigates the pollution risk transfer effect on the turning point of the environmental Kuznets curve (EKC). The results show an inverted U-shaped curve between industrial sewage emissions and economic growth in the local region, while a U-shaped curve in other regions. The study suggests that the central government should optimize the assessment standards of local government achievements and encourage technological innovation through market incentive environmental regulation.

Research on the Impacts of Heterogeneous Environmental Regulations on Green Productivity in China: The Moderating Roles of Technical Change and Efficiency Change

Yanchao Feng et al.

Summary: This study examines the impact of environmental regulations on green productivity in China and finds that technical change has a greater effect on promoting green productivity, while spatial spillover effect remains a driving force for green productivity. At both national and regional levels, the moderating roles of technical change and efficiency change in the relationship between environmental regulations and green productivity are partially and conditionally supported, with spatial heterogeneity in the effects of heterogeneous environmental regulations on green productivity.

How does environmental information disclosure affect economic development and haze pollution in Chinese cities? The mediating role of green technology innovation

Yanchao Feng et al.

Summary: This study investigates the strategic interaction of environmental information disclosure and the mediating role of green technology innovation on economic development and haze pollution in China. The results show that green technology innovation partly mediates the promotion effect of environmental information disclosure on economic development and the inhibition effect on haze pollution under static conditions. Additionally, under dynamic conditions, green technology innovation fully mediates the promotion effect on economic development but only partly mediates the inhibition effect on haze pollution.
