Fabrication of Hollow Cube Dual-Semiconductor Ln2O3/MnO/C Nanocomposites with Excellent Microwave Absorption Performance

Zhongjing Shen et al.

Summary: Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) have been utilized as precursors for highly effective microwave absorbers, but the challenge remains in fabricating thin, lightweight, well-organized nanostructures with strong microwave absorption capability and wide absorption bandwidth. This study successfully fabricated hollow cube dual-semiconductor Ln(2)O(3)/MnO/C nanocomposites via one-step high-temperature carbonization of Ln-Mn-MOFs, with Gd2O3/MnO/C-800 showing superior microwave absorption capacity. The research also investigated the impact of temperature on the microwave absorption properties of Gd2O3/MnO/C, revealing an ultrahigh bandwidth of 6.6 GHz.

High-frequency MnZn soft magnetic ferrite by engineering grain boundaries with multiple-ion doping

Mi Yan et al.

Summary: A high-performance MnZn ferrite has been reported by doping multiple ions at grain boundaries, achieving optimized power loss and initial permeability at high frequencies, better than existing products. This improvement is attributed to the weakening of magnetic exchange coupling at grain boundaries and the transition from multi- to mono-domain structures.

Decreasing the complex permittivity to enhance microwave absorption properties of flaky FeSiAl/MnZn ferrites composites

Huying Yan et al.

Summary: MnZn ferrites prepared by sol-gel combustion method were coated on flaky FeSiAl particles to decrease the complex permittivity of composites. The coating led to a significant decrease in complex permittivity and a slight decrease in complex permeability, achieving ideal impedance matching. The minimum reflection loss value decreased to -24.3 dB at 11.8 GHz when the coating amount was 2.5 g sol, with a bandwidth exceeding -10 dB reaching 3.6 GHz.
