Spray drying induced engineering a hierarchical reduced graphene oxide supported heterogeneous Tin dioxide and Zinc oxide for Lithium-ion storage

Rui Zhang et al.

Summary: This work presents a hierarchical reduced graphene oxide (RGO) supportive matrix with ZnO and SnO2 nanoparticles immobilized, showing outstanding lithium-ion storage performance. The unique hierarchical structure of ZnO@SnO2/RGO-H sample enhances mechanical strength, ionic and electric conductivities, leading to a large specific capacity and good rate capability in lithium-ion storage processes. The industrially mature spray drying method for synthesizing RGO based hierarchical products can be further developed for wider applications.

Carbon nanofibers impregnated with Fe3O4 nanoparticles as a flexible and high capacity negative electrode for lithium-ion batteries

C. A. Velasquez et al.

Summary: The development of E-textiles relies on portable energy storage devices that maintain comfort and functionality. A flexible carbon electrode, impregnated with magnetite nanoparticles, was developed for lithium batteries and showed improved electrochemical performance. Despite a slight reduction in capacity retention at high C-rates due to lower electronic conductivity, the composite material achieved a higher initial discharge capacity and coulombic efficiency compared to pure carbon nanofibers.
