Carbon dots capped cerium oxide nanoparticles for highly efficient removal and sensitive detection of fluoride

Summary: In this study, carbon dots (CDs) capped CeO2 (CeO2@CDs) were synthesized and showed high F- adsorption capacity. The CeO2@CDs exhibited excellent ROS eliminating capacity and colorimetric detection ability for F-, even under acidic conditions.
