Effects of Integration of Social Marketing and Health Belief Model for Preventing Cholangiocarcinoma in High-Risk Areas of Thailand: A Community Intervention Study

Summary: This study examined the effectiveness of applying social marketing and Health Belief Model (HBM) in preventing cholangiocarcinoma (CCA) in high-risk areas of Thailand. The results showed that the intervention significantly increased participants' perceived risk and severity of CCA, perceived benefits and barriers to CCA prevention, and correct behaviors. This is the first study to integrate social marketing and HBM for CCA prevention, highlighting the importance of public communication in preventing diseases.

Current status of human liver fluke infections in the Greater Mekong Subregion

There has been a significant change in the prevalence of infections over the past 20 years, highlighting the need for integrated control measures.
