Single-step process for transparent conductive ZnO:Ga films with uniform ultrahigh haze by oblique angle deposition

Yun-Chung Lee et al.

Summary: By combining oblique angle deposition and atmospheric pressure plasma jet, we have successfully produced GZO films with uniform ultrahigh haze, high transmittance, and low resistivity. Unlike conventional methods, our single-step approach does not require additional steps/materials or parameter changes during operation.

Facile preparation of hazy Ga-doped ZnO electrodes by atmospheric pressure plasma jet

Ping-Chia Hsu et al.

Summary: This paper presents a simple, low-cost, and single-run method for preparing gallium-doped zinc oxide (GZO) films with high haze, high transmittance, and low sheet resistance using atmospheric pressure plasma jet. By adjusting the working distance and scanning pitch, high-quality hazy GZO films with competitive figures of merit were successfully produced.

High haze Ga and Zr co-doped zinc oxide transparent electrodes for photovoltaic applications

Cheng-Yang Wu et al.

Summary: This study demonstrates a one-step fabrication process to deposit high haze gallium and zirconium co-doped zinc oxides (GZO:Zr) using atmospheric pressure plasma jets. The co-doped films exhibit low resistivity, high haze, and a great figure of merit. The enhancement in haze is attributed to increased surface roughness and deterioration of crystallinity. The method offers a simple and efficient approach to produce hazy transparent electrodes for industrial-scale mass production.

Digital Laser Micropainting for Reprogrammable Optoelectronic Applications

Younggeun Lee et al.

Summary: The proposed digital laser micropainting technique utilizes controlled thin-film interference to directly grow an absorbing metal oxide layer on a metallic reflector in a solution environment via laser. By tuning the reflection spectrum in a broad visible spectrum according to the laser fluence, this technique offers scalability and controllability for modifying original coloration. Additionally, the technique has shown potential in reprogrammable optoelectronic applications by demonstrating the ability to assign, erase, and reassigned specific wavelength-dependent photoresponsivity.

Simultaneous enhancement of electrical conductivity, uniformity, and near-infrared transmittance via laser annealing on ZnO:Ga films deposited by atmospheric pressure plasma jet

Yu-Chen Chen et al.

Summary: In this study, continuous CO2 laser annealing was shown to enhance the electrical conductivity, uniformity, and NIR transmittance of GZO films deposited by APPJ. The improvement may be attributed to the reduction of Ga-O clusters which act as barrier traps in degrading carrier mobility.

Tailoring the free carrier and optoelectric properties of indium tin oxide film via quasi-continuous-wave laser annealing

Liping Peng et al.

Summary: In this study, a 1064-nm quasi-continuous-wave laser was used to anneal ITO films, improving transparency in the near-infrared region while minimizing changes in resistivity by reducing carrier density. Results showed that tin oxide reduction in the oxygen-deficient region of the ITO film at depths greater than 80 nm was more significant than in the oxygen-rich region within the top 80-nm thin layer. Additionally, eliminating oxygen vacancies in oxygen-rich environments did not provide a clear advantage compared to oxygen-deficient environments due to oxygen supplied during tin oxide reduction.

Metal-Oxide Nanomaterials Synthesis and Applications in Flexible and Wearable Sensors

Yeosang Yoon et al.

Summary: Metal-oxide nanomaterials (MONs) have attracted considerable interest in the construction of flexible/wearable sensors due to their tunable band gap, low cost, large specific area, and ease of manufacturing, showing promising applications in gas leakage alarms, environmental protection, health tracking, and smart devices. This review provides a comprehensive investigation of factors to boost the sensitivity of MON-based sensors in environmental indicators and health monitoring, while also considering challenges and future perspectives in the field of MON-based flexible/wearable sensors.
