BiOCl microspheres with controllable oxygen vacancies: Synthesis and their enhanced photocatalytic performance

Summary: By controlling the concentration of oxygen vacancies, modifying the synthesis method of BiOCl microspheres, it was found that they exhibit superior photocatalytic activity in degrading RhB and CIP in wastewater treatment. Fluorine-doped iron oxyhydroxide cocatalyst: promotion on the WO3 photoanode conducted photoelectrochemical water splitting

Summary: In this study, the performance of WO3 as a photoanode was improved by doping with F and preparing F:FeOOH/BiVO4/WO3 composite photoanodes. The composite photoanodes exhibited significantly enhanced photocurrent and showed good stability and electron lifetime. Additionally, F-doped FeOOH showed better catalytic performance than FeOOH. This work may have important implications for the application of photocatalysts in PEC water splitting.

One-step synthesis of porous BiOCl microflowers with oxygen vacancies for photoreduction of CO2 under visible light irradiation

Summary: Porous BiOCl micmflowers with oxygen vacancies were successfully synthesized through a simple one-step solvothermal method. These products exhibited excellent CO2 photoreduction activity under visible light irradiation, attributed to enhanced visible light absorption, improved separation of photo-generated electron-hole pairs, and increased specific surface area. This work provides a new route for synthesizing efficient porous photocatalysts for CO2 photoreduction.

Bimetallic silver/bismuth-MOFs derived strategy for Ag/AgCl/BiOCl composite with extraordinary visible light-driven photocatalytic activity towards tetracycline

Summary: The rod-like Ag/AgCl/BiOCl materials were successfully fabricated by calcination of the self-sacrificial template of silver/bismuth bimetallic-organic frameworks in order to achieve more desirable photocatalytic activity towards tetracycline. The obtained Ag/AgCl/BiOCl catalyst exhibited enhanced light absorption ability in visible light region and superior photocatalytic activity compared to BiOCl, with remarkable stability during photocatalytic reactions. This work opens up new perspectives for advanced uniform-sized photocatalytic catalyst using bimetallic MOFs as self-sacrificial templates.

In-situ mechanochemical fabrication of p-n Bi2MoO6/CuBi2O4 heterojunctions with efficient visible light photocatalytic performance

The synergistic photocatalytic effect was proposed to be due to the more negative conduction band and higher PCPNa adsorption capacity on BiOCl0.95Br0.05-010-OVs.

Elaboration of Fe3O4/ZnO nanocomposite with highly performance photocatalytic activity for degradation methylene blue under visible light irradiation

Summary: Fe3O4/ZnO nanocomposites were synthesized by the solid-state method using different ratios of zinc oxide and iron oxide. The nanocomposites exhibited significant Raman shifts and quenching in PL intensity due to the strong incorporation of ZnO with Fe3O4.
