Development of an adaptive artificial neural network model and optimal control algorithm for a data center cyber-physical system

Young Jae Cho et al.

Summary: This study aimed to develop an adaptive artificial neural network model (AAM) for predicting the temperature and energy of a data center's cooling system, and proposed a control algorithm for precise control. The results showed that the optimal control algorithm with the AAM had better prediction accuracy and control stability compared to the algorithm with the NAAM.

Cooling technologies for data centres and telecommunication base stations-A comprehensive review

Yelong Zhang et al.

Summary: This article provides a comprehensive review of recent research on energy-saving technologies for cooling data centres and telecommunication base stations. The results show that immersion liquid cooling has a lower power usage effectiveness (PUE) and a relatively higher energy savings rate (ESR) compared to other cooling technologies. The article suggests that a combination of multiple energy-saving technologies will be the future trend to further improve the energy efficiency of cooling systems.
