Summary: Phytochemical investigation of atemoya aerial parts led to the identification of a new N-oxide alkaloid and eight other alkaloids, with moderate cytotoxic activities. The isolation and identification of these alkaloids are an important contribution to the chemotaxonomy of Annona genus and Annonaceae family.
