The Effects of Seven-Day Exposure to Silver Nanoparticles on Fertility and Homeostasis of Zebrafish (Danio rerio)

Summary: This study investigates the short-term exposure effects of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) on the homeostasis of livers and gonads in zebrafish. The results show that AgNPs cause an increase in hepatocyte area, hepatocyte proliferation, and interference with spermatogenesis and oogonesis. Additionally, AgNPs reduce the expression levels of specific genes in the liver.
