Schwarzschild-like black hole with a topological defect in bumblebee gravity

Ibrahim Gullu et al.

Summary: This paper investigates the properties and effects of black holes surrounded by global monopole fields in the Einstein-Hilbert-Bumblebee gravity theory. It is found that the global monopole parameter and Lorentz symmetry breaking parameter have an increasing effect on the deflection angle of the black hole.

Nonlinear electrodynamics effects on the black hole shadow, deflection angle, quasinormal modes and greybody factors

M. Okyay et al.

Summary: In this paper, the effects of nonlinear electrodynamics (NED) on non-rotating black holes are discussed, including various observable and physical properties. It is found that the NED black hole is always surrounded by an event horizon and any magnetic charge is permissible. The black hole gets colder with increasing charge, and the observed shadow radius is strongly affected by the magnetic charge parameter P. The introduction of charge steepens the greybody factor of the black hole.

Superradiance evolution of black hole shadows revisited

Rittick Roy et al.

Summary: This study reconsiders the evolution of black hole shadows induced by superradiance and investigates the case of two ultralight bosons. The study finds that gas accretion and gravitational wave radiation have a negligible effect on the results, and the inclusion of an additional ultralight boson does not shorten the shadow evolution time scale.

Gravitational waves in f(R) gravity power law model

Dhruba Jyoti Gogoi et al.

Summary: The research investigates different polarization modes of gravitational waves in the f(R) gravity power law model in de Sitter space. It has been observed that the mass of the scalar field is dependent on the background curvature and the power term n. However, for n = 2, the model does not display a massive scalar mode, but instead, exhibits a breathing mode along with tensor and cross modes. The mass of the scalar field varies with n within the range of 1 <= n <= 2.

Quasinormal modes and shadow of a Schwarzschild black hole with GUP

M. A. Anacleto et al.

Summary: This study investigates quantum corrections to the Schwarzschild black hole metric using the generalized uncertainty principle (GUP) and explores its effects on quasinormal modes, shadow, and their relationship in the eikonal limit. The research utilizes the sixth-order Wentzel-Kramers-Brillouin (WKB) approximation to calculate quasinormal frequencies and confirms the results through numerical analysis. Interestingly, the shadow radius is found to be nonzero even at very small mass limits for finite GUP parameter.

Probing the parameters of a Schwarzschild black hole surrounded by quintessence and cloud of strings through four standard astrophysical tests

Victor H. Cardenas et al.

Summary: This paper focuses on applying general relativistic tests on the spacetime produced by a static black hole associated with cloud of strings in a universe filled with quintessence. Through four tests, the parameters of spacetime are constrained to be around 10^(-9) for the cloud of strings and around 10^(-20) m^(-1) for quintessence. The response of the black hole to gravitational perturbations is also discussed in this study.

Thermodynamics of a rotating and non-linear magnetic-charged black hole in the quintessence field

Ragil Ndongmo et al.

Summary: The study proposes an approach for analyzing the thermodynamic properties of a rotating and non-linear magnetic-charged black hole, discussing the influence of quintessence on the behavior of the black hole and its second-order phase transitions. It was found that increasing the quintessence parameter shifts the second-order phase transition towards lower entropy values.

Adiabatic evolution of Hayward black hole

Mohsen Fathi et al.

Summary: In this study, Caratheodory's approach to thermodynamics was used to construct the thermodynamic manifold of the Hayward black hole. By solving the associated Cauchy problem, adiabatic paths were confined to the non-extremal manifold, preserving the status of the second and third laws. Furthermore, the merger of two extremal Hayward black holes was analyzed.

Quasinormal modes of black holes with non-linear-electrodynamic sources in Rastall gravity

Dhruba Jyoti Gogoi et al.

Summary: The study investigates the effects of non-linear electrodynamic sources on the quasinormal modes of black holes in Rastall gravity, as well as the dependency on the Rastall parameter, black hole structural constant, and black hole charge. Results show significant deviations in the quasinormal modes of black holes with non-linear electrodynamic sources compared to a general charged black hole under certain conditions. Additionally, the behavior of black holes and quasinormal modes vary depending on the type of surrounding field considered.

Thermodynamics of Schwarzschild black hole surrounded by quintessence with generalized uncertainty principle

B. C. Lutfuoglu et al.

Summary: This study investigates the thermodynamics of a Schwarzschild black hole surrounded by quintessence matter with a deformation on the Heisenberg algebra. The temperature, entropy, and heat capacity functions of the black hole are obtained, showing upper and lower bound values based on the quintessence and deformed algebra. The corrected density of quintessence matter and the black hole's equation of state functions are derived and compared with standard Schwarzschild black holes with graphical methods, interpreting the quantum deformation effects.
