This study investigates the effects of thermal treatment temperature and nickel nitrate impregnation concentration on the CO2 methanation reaction using commercially available coal char supported nickel catalysts.
Catalytic CO2 methanation is a potential solution for conversion of CO2 into valuable products, and the catalyst plays a crucial role on the CO2 conversion and CH4 selectivity. However, some details involved in the CO2 methanation over the carbon supported Ni catalysts are not yet fully understood.
