Technology Investment Strategy for a Competitive Manufacturer in the Presence of Technology Spillover

Guo Li et al.

Summary: Motivated by technology investment practices, this article investigates an outsourcing supply chain in the new energy vehicle manufacturing industry. Results show that the original brand manufacturer consistently profits the most in certain strategies, while the competitive manufacturer's preference strategy is influenced by competition intensity, technology spillover, consumers' product preference, and cost-sharing ratio.

A novel robust fuzzy mean-UPM model for green closed-loop supply chain network design under distribution ambiguity

Ying Liu et al.

Summary: Green closed-loop supply chain (GCLSC) is a supply chain focusing on economic and environmental performance by incorporating both forward and reverse flows of components and products in logistic networks. In decision-making, it is crucial to consider uncertainty and risk from network size and complexity, introducing novelty ambiguity distribution set and upside risk to quantify economic risk. A distributionally robust fuzzy GCLSC network design model is developed aiming to optimize worst-case performance with a trade-off between upside risk and economic cost expectation.
