A revisit to the past plague epidemic (India) versus the present COVID-19 pandemic: fractional-order chaotic models and fuzzy logic control

Summary: This paper revisits the Bombay Plague epidemic of India and presents six fractional-order models of the epidemic based on observational data. Suitable controllers based on fuzzy logic concept are designed to stabilise chaos and forecast the course of the Covid-19 outbreak, with crucial parameters including memory and heredity indices.

Is fractional-order chaos theory the new tool to model chaotic pandemics as Covid-19?

Summary: This paper suggests the use of fractional-order chaos theory to accurately model pandemics and analyze their progression. Through studying multiple pandemic models, it is found that fractional-order plays a crucial role in analyzing the development of a pandemic. Additionally, by designing fractional-order controllers, chaos can be stabilized and chaotic pandemics can be synchronized with non-chaotic ones, mitigating the unpredictability caused by chaos.

Generation of a multi-scroll chaotic system via smooth state transformation

A novel three-dimensional oscillator system is proposed and analyzed, which produces a double-scroll chaotic system. By using a simple and smooth state transformation, the multi-scroll attractors of the novel chaotic system are obtained.

Exploring noise-induced chaos and complexity in a red blood cell system
