BaTiO3-Refined NiCuZn Ferrites Towards Enhanced Pulse Detection Sensitivity for a High-Frequency Current Transformer

Sen Qian et al.

Summary: This research focuses on improving the sensitivity of High-frequency current transformer (HFCT) sensors for pulse detection at high frequencies by refining the ferrites of the magnetic cores. The results show that the use of a two-step sintering technique and the addition of barium titanate (BaTiO3) can significantly improve the transfer functions of the HFCT sensors, thereby enhancing their sensitivity for pulse detection at high frequencies.

Magnetic and dielectric properties of NiCuZn ferrite with optimized Cu content and sintered by a two-step process

Xinran Ji et al.

Summary: This study prepared nickel-copper-zinc (NiCuZn) ferrite samples with high permeability and low magnetic loss using a two-step sintering method and investigated the influence of Cu content on their crystal structure, microstructure, magnetic, and dielectric properties. The results showed that an appropriate Cu content could lead to NiCuZn ferrites with desirable properties, providing important guidance for the development of RF frequency multilayer inductors.

Electrospinning synthesis of shuttle-shaped NiCuZn ferrites and effect of sintering temperature on their structural and magnetic properties

Chuan Chen et al.

Summary: This study reports a novel synthesis of shuttle-shaped NiCuZn ferrites through electrospinning and subsequent sintering, and systematically investigates the microstructural evolution and its effect on magnetic properties upon annealing at temperatures ranging from 500 to 1000 degrees C. The results show that the crystallite size decreases and the grain size increases with increasing sintering temperature, leading to an upward trend in saturation magnetization until a certain point where the crystalline structure and morphology change, resulting in lowered saturation magnetization.

The effect of the annealing temperature on the microstructural, magnetic, and spin-dynamical properties of Mn-Mg-Cu-Zn ferrites

Rozita Sefatgol et al.

Summary: The annealing temperature significantly affects the structural and magnetic properties of Mn0.15Mg0.15Cu0.2Zn0.5-Fe2O4 ferrite nanoparticles. The structural results showed a combination of cubic spinel and hematite phases at temperatures above 750 degrees C. XPS analysis revealed the importance of the valence state of surface-metal ions and surface-oxygen species in these changes.

The effect of the magnetically dead layer on the magnetization and the magnetic anisotropy of the dextran-coated magnetite nanoparticles

Zhila Shaterabadi et al.

Summary: This study investigates the magnetic behavior of dextran-coated magnetite nanoparticles (DM NPs) with different sizes. The decrease in saturation magnetization (M-s) with decreasing particle size is modeled by considering a magnetically dead layer on the particle surface. The study also takes into account the contribution of dipolar interactions due to the formation of chain-like clusters of MNPs in the estimation of effective magnetic anisotropy (K-eff) values.

Rui Peng et al.

Summary: The effect of CaTiO3 addition on the sintering behavior, microstructure, and magnetic and dielectric properties of NiCuZn/CaTiO3 composite dual-performance materials was investigated. CaTiO3 coexisted with NiCuZn ferrite and the increase in CaTiO3 content resulted in a decrease in grain size of NiCuZn ferrite, leading to a gradual decline in magnetic properties and an enhancement in dielectric properties.

Effect of Bi2O3 and Co2O3 co-doping on power loss characteristics of low-temperature-fired NiCuZn ferrites

Yuan Zhang et al.

Summary: Low-temperature-fired NiCuZn ferrites with fixed 0.25 wt% Bi2O3 doping and different Co2O3 doping contents were prepared and their phase composition, microstructure, and magnetic properties were investigated. The results showed that increasing the Co2O3 content led to a decrease in permeability and an increase in coercivity, and also affected the sintered density and saturation flux density.
