Highly Efficient and Reusable Polymer Supported Palladium Catalyst for Copper Free Sonogashira Reaction in Water

Summary: A novel, greener, and efficient heterogeneous catalytic system for copper-free Sonogashira reaction in water was developed. The catalyst was easily prepared by modifying polyacrylonitrile and complexing it with palladium chloride. This catalyst exhibited high efficiency for the Sonogashira coupling reaction in water, achieving a yield of up to 97% for the coupling products. It also showed excellent stability and could be reused for multiple cycles.
