An eco-friendly method was used to synthesize Nickel nanoparticles using Polyphenolic rich Terminalia Chebula fruit extract. The synthesized nanoparticles showed mono-dispersed nature and spherical shape with an average size of 15.6nm. The biosynthesized Ni nanoparticles exhibited catalytic, antioxidant, antibacterial, and anticancer activities.
In the present work, an eco-friendly method was employed for a synthesis of Nickel (Ni) nanoparticles using Polyphenolic rich Terminalia Chebula fruit aqueous extract. The UV-vis data (lambda(max) 280 nm) revealed the for-mation and mono-dispersed nature of Ni Nanoparticle. For the biogenesis of Ni NPs, the optimum conditions were determined as pH = 12, 3 mM concentration of precursor solution, 80 degrees C temperature, and 75-minute heating time. FTIR & EDX confirmed that tannins and alkaloids were utilized in the formation of Ni Nano-particles. The XRD established formation of Ni nanoparticles of FCC. The TEM analysis confirmed the spherical shape with an average size around 15.6nm. This study evaluated the catalytic, antioxidant, antibacterial and anticancer activities for biosynthesized Ni NPs. The Catalytic degradation of carcinogenic Congo red dye was completed within 20 mints, the degradation of the Congo red dye found to be first order kinetics. The antioxidant activity against DPPH found maximum to 100 mu g/ml and EC50 as 78.51 & 65.01 respectively and as per the studies, Ni NPs shown greater antibacterial activity against E. coli, K. pneumonia, B. subtilis, and S. aureus at concentrations of 45 mu g/ml as 0.98, 0.86, 0.61, and 0.82cm, and they stopped SH-SY5Y by 93.22.02 % at 100 mu M; the IC50 for all cell lines was 10 mu M.
