Role of Fe doping on surface morphology, electronic structure and magnetic properties of Fe doped CeO2 thin film

Shalendra Kumar et al.

Summary: This study investigated the electronic structure and magnetic properties of Ce0.95Fe0.05O2 thin film. The results showed that the film had a polycrystalline structure with preferred orientation along (220), increased surface roughness compared to undoped CeO2TF, formation of oxygen vacancies, and reduction in valence state of Ce from +4 to +3. Additionally, room-temperature ferromagnetism was observed in the doped films with a Curie temperature around 300 K.

Optical and conductive properties of Antimony-Bismuth co-doped titanium dioxide in terahertz range

Muhammad Mumtaz et al.

Summary: The optical and dielectric characteristics of titanium dioxide (TiO2) have been fine-tuned through doping and co-doping of antimony and bismuth for applications in the terahertz (THz) spectral frequency range. Characterization was done using X-ray diffraction, THz time-domain spectroscopy, and Effective-Medium Approximation theory, showing an increasing trend in measured parameters with frequency and dopant concentration. Furthermore, the conductivity of the samples in the THz range conforms to the Drude Smith model.

Optical and room-temperature ferromagnetic properties of Ni-doped CuO nanocrystals prepared via auto-combustion method

S. P. Kamble et al.

Summary: The pure and Ni-doped CuO nanocrystals were prepared using the auto-combustion method and characterized through various techniques including X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscope, UV spectroscopy, and vibrating sample magnetometer. The results showed a decrease in lattice constants and an increase in optical band-gap energy with increasing Ni doping concentration. The nanocrystals exhibited blue-shift in optical absorption spectra, spherical-like structure in SEM images, and ferromagnetic behavior at room temperature.

Influence of Ni doping on the morphological, structural, optical and electrical properties of CuO thin films deposited via a spray pyrolysis

Join Uddin et al.

Summary: Nanostructured copper oxide and nickel-doped copper oxide thin films were synthesized with varying nickel concentrations and characterized. The nickel doping improved the light absorbance in the visible-NIR region, leading to an increase in the optical bandgap with higher nickel content. The resistivity also increased with the rise in nickel concentration in the copper oxide thin films.
