A van der Waals heterostructure based on nickel telluride and graphene with spontaneous high-frequency photoresponse

Jiazhong Shen et al.

Summary: In this work, a terahertz detector based on a NiTe2-graphene van der Waals heterostructure has been developed to inhibit dark current and thermal-agitation noise at room temperature. The device exhibits enhanced photon-absorption ability and conversion of terahertz radiation into a direct current, achieving high photoresponsivity and low noise equivalent power.

A self-powered and sensitive terahertz photodetection based on PdSe2

Jie Zhou et al.

Summary: This study presents a rapid response and self-powered terahertz photothermoelectric (PTE) photodetector based on the low-dimensional material PdSe2. The integration of graphene in PdSe2/graphene heterojunction greatly enhances the photodetection performance. The device exhibits stable and repeatable photoresponse at room temperature without bias, with rapid rise and decay times recorded under 0.1-THz irradiation. The results demonstrate the promising prospect of PdSe2-based detectors in terahertz detection.

Far-field super-resolution ghost imaging with a deep neural network constraint

Fei Wang et al.

Summary: Ghost imaging (GI) is a technique that facilitates image acquisition under low-light conditions by single-pixel measurements, and has great potential in various applications. However, the current GI techniques require a large number of samples to reconstruct high-resolution images, which limits their practical applications. In this study, a far-field super-resolution GI technique is proposed that incorporates the physical model for GI image formation into a deep neural network. The proposed technique outperforms other widespread GI techniques in terms of spatial resolution and sampling ratio, and provides a new framework for GI with practical applications.
