The diagnostic efficiency of the perfusion-related parameters in assessing the vascular disrupting agent (CA4P) response in a rabbit VX2 liver tumor model

Fanhua Meng et al.

Summary: The study evaluated the diagnostic efficiency of perfusion-related parameters in assessing the effect of CA4P in a rabbit VX2 liver tumor model using DCE and IVIM. The results showed that the concomitant use of DCE and IVIM slightly improved the diagnostic value but the improvement was relatively small.

Summary: This study investigated the antitumor properties of CuS@GOD NPs in a mouse breast cancer model and found that IVIM-DWI and R-2* mapping could quantitatively assess the early antitumor effect of CuS@GOD NPs.

Value of dynamic contrast perfusion MRI to predict early response to bevacizumab in newly diagnosed glioblastoma: results from ACRIN 6686 multicenter trial

Kathleen M. Schmainda et al.

Summary: In this study, the effects of bevacizumab or placebo on cerebral blood flow parameters in newly diagnosed glioblastoma patients undergoing standard therapy were evaluated. Bevacizumab significantly changed rCBV but not K-trans early posttreatment, and high pretreatment rCBV predicted improved overall survival in patients treated with bevacizumab.

Diffusion and Perfusion MRI Predicts Response Preceding and Shortly After Radiosurgery to Brain Metastases: A Pilot Study

Akash Deelip Shah et al.

Summary: DWI and DCE-MRI are feasible imaging methods for evaluating brain metastases before and within 72 hours of SRS, offering potentially useful biomarkers to predict treatment response. Parameters derived from IVIM and DCE-MRI showed physiological changes in tumor cellularity and vascularity, which can help initiate alternate therapies within an effective time window to prevent disease progression.

Predicting pathological complete response (pCR) after stereotactic ablative radiation therapy (SABR) of lung cancer using quantitative dynamic [18F]FDG PET and CT perfusion: a prospective exploratory clinical study

Dae-Myoung Yang et al.

Summary: In this study, a predictive model for predicting pCR of NSCLC to SABR was developed based on dynamic [F-18]FDG-PET and CT Perfusion imaging, and was found to be significantly better than RECIST and PERCIST criteria. The model utilized BVpre-SABR and Delta SUVmax, showing superior accuracy in predicting pCR.

A Pilot Study to Evaluate Early Predictive Value of Thorax Perfusion-CT in Advanced NSCLC

Francisco Aya et al.

Summary: The study aimed to explore the capacity of Perfusion-Computed Tomography (pCT) in detecting early changes in tumor vascularization in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients treated with antiangiogenic therapy, confirming the feasibility of pCT in capturing early changes in tumor vasculature and suggesting the potential of blood volume (BV) in identifying differential tumor responses to antiangiogenic therapy at an early stage.

Early changes in intravoxel incoherent motion MRI parameters can potentially predict response to chemoradiotherapy in rectal cancer: An animal study

Liheng Liu et al.

Summary: Imaging-based approaches for early predicting response of rectal cancer to neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy remain a challenge. This study monitored IVIM MRI parameters in mouse models of rectal carcinoma during the early post-treatment period and found that changes in D and D* values may have potential for predicting the final efficacy of chemoradiotherapy.

Associations between IVIM histogram parameters and histopathology in rectal cancer

Hans-Jonas Meyer et al.

Summary: Histogram analysis from IVIM imaging can provide insights into tumor heterogeneity in rectal cancer. There are significant correlations between Ki 67 index and parameters from ADC and f maps, as well as between MVD and parameters derived from the f map. IVIM analysis parameters can reflect histopathological features in rectal cancer, with ADC and D values associated with proliferation potential and perfusion fraction f associated with microvessel density.
