A substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) radial sixteen-way power divider is proposed in this study. This power divider uses two layer substrates, with one layer designing the radial power divider cavity of the SIW and the other layer designing the star-shaped microstrip isolation network. To enhance the isolation performance, radial slots are cut in the metal layer of the SIW and isolation resistors are added. Step impedance probes ensure good matching of input and output ports. A SIW radial sixteen-way power divider is manufactured and measured to validate the design. The measured results indicate a 15-dB input bandwidth and output bandwidth of 12.6% and 20.2% respectively, an insert loss (IL) lower than 2 dB, and an isolation better than 15 dB between the output ports.
