Preparation of ZnCo-MOF/PPy/Ag2O ternary composites for high- performance flexible supercapacitors

Quanlu Wang et al.

Summary: Polymerization of polypyrrole (PPy) on the surface of ZnCo-MOF columnar structure is achieved using (NH4)2S2O8 and AgNO3 as co-oxidants. The resulting ternary composite material, ZnCo-MOF/PPy/Ag2O, demonstrates successful PPy polymerization, multifunctional properties of ARS, and catalytic oxidation of Ag. The MPA/Ag2O-4 electrode exhibits excellent specific capacitance, and an asymmetric supercapacitor assembled with MPA/Ag2O-4 and activated carbon shows high area capacitance and wide potential window. The composite material also displays outstanding cycling stability and flexibility, making it a promising candidate for flexible wearable and portable electronic devices.
