Millimeter-Wave Dual-Polarized Metal Transmitarray Antenna With Wide Gain Bandwidth

Xi Wang et al.

Summary: A high-gain dual-polarized all-metallic transmitarray (TA) antenna with wide gain bandwidth is proposed using quadruple-ridged waveguide (QRW). The QRW has a symmetrical structure and allows for dual-polarization and 2-D beam scanning. The fabricated TA antenna achieves high gain, aperture efficiency, and broadside gain bandwidth at 30 GHz, with a 2-D beam scanning range of +/- 18 degrees.

Wideband and Low-Profile Integrated Dual-Circularly-Polarized Transmit-Arrays Enabled by Antenna-Filter-Antenna Phase Shifting Cells

Zhi Hao Jiang et al.

Summary: This article reports on the theory, design, and demonstration of wideband and low-profile dual-circularly polarized (dual-CP) transmit arrays (TAs) that support independent beamforming for left-/right-handed CP waves. By utilizing an antenna-filter-antenna configuration for the TA unit cells with a small profile, continuous dual-CP transmissive phase compensation can be achieved using phase delay lines and unit cell rotation.

Dual-Polarized Linear Array With Overlapping Handover of Subarray to Produce Continuous Beam Scanning for Transmitarray Antenna

Yin-Hua Yu et al.

Summary: This article presents a dual-polarized linear array antenna design based on the Huygens equivalence principle, and validates its performance in beam scanning through measured results. The proposed antenna achieves high gains and low sidelobe levels within certain frequency bands and scanning ranges, demonstrating good agreement between measured and simulated results.
