Summary: This study investigates the impact of coil parameters on the performance of a nickel-core magnetostrictive transducer. It shows that the fluctuation of magnetostrictive force in the longitudinal direction of the core is an important factor for generating ultrasonic waves. Adjusting the lamination factor and frequency can influence this force fluctuation and optimize the transducer's ultrasonic performance.
