Simultaneous detection of aflatoxin B1 and ochratoxin A in food samples by dual DNA tweezers nanomachine

Zhengwei Xiong et al.

Summary: A dual DNA tweezers nanomachine was developed for simultaneous detection of AFB1 and OTA in food samples, achieving high sensitivity and accuracy through the binding of aptamers with their targets to control the fluorescent signals. The method demonstrated satisfactory recoveries and precision, with detection uncertainties within 5% at a 95% confidence level.

Tyramide signal amplification and enzyme biocatalytic precipitation on closed bipolar electrode: Toward highly sensitive electrochemiluminescence immunoassay

Jun-Tao Cao et al.

Summary: A novel closed bipolar electrode-based electrochemiluminescence (BPE-ECL) imaging platform was developed for visual detection of cardiac troponin I (cTnI) using tyramine signal amplification (TSA) strategy and enzyme-catalyzed precipitation techniques (BCP). The method shows low detection limits and good recovery rates, demonstrating potential for sensitive biochemical analysis of biomarkers with low abundance.

A multicolor electrochemiluminescence device based on closed bipolar electrode for rapid visual screening of Salmonella typhimurium

Yun Luo et al.

Summary: The multicolor electrochemiluminescence (ECL) device based on closed bipolar electrode (BPE) allows for visualized sensing of Salmonella typhimurium (S. typhimurium). By modulating the resistance of BPE, bidirectional color change can be observed, which is attributed to the dual-potential excitation property of the concomitant electrochemiluminophores. This sensor has a low detection limit of 10 CFU mL-1 and can greatly shorten the experiment time without complex pre-enrichment bacterial. The electrochemical signal is converted into a more intuitive optical readout for visualized sensing of S. typhimurium in food, merging the sensitivity of electrochemistry with the intuitiveness of an optical readout.
