Large males matter: Low sperm reserves in female snow crab (Chionoecetes opilio) off Newfoundland, Canada

Sediment temperature, silt proportion, anoxic conditions, and meiofaunal abundances play significant roles in affecting the abundance of harmful species like A. catenella resting cysts.

This shift is associated with the recent increase in fishery exploitation rates and the low density of large male snow crabs.
