The Concept of Strength Through Synergy Applied to the Search of Powerful Prognostic Biomarkers in Gastroesophageal Cancer An Example Based on Combining Clinicopathological Parameters, Imaging-Derived Sarcopenia Measurements, and Radiomic Features

Roberto C. C. Delgado Bolton et al.

Summary: Integrating clinical and pathological data with imaging-derived information creates new combined biomarkers that improve prognostic value. This concept of synergy can be applied to improve patient care in cancer, utilizing existing information without new invasive tests.

Comparison of [99mTc]Tc-tilmanocept with [99mTc]Tc-sulphur colloids and [99mTc]Tc-albumin colloids for sentinel lymph node detection in patients with cutaneous malignancies of the head

Mark Ooms et al.

Summary: This study compared the performance of three different tracers in Sentinel Lymph Node (SLN) detection in cutaneous malignancies of the head. The results showed that TcTM had comparable overall performance to TcSC and TcAC.

EANM guideline on the role of 2-[18F]FDG PET/CT in diagnosis, staging, prognostic value, therapy assessment and restaging of ovarian cancer, endorsed by the American College of Nuclear Medicine (ACNM), the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging (SNMMI) and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA)

Roberto C. Delgado Bolton et al.

Summary: Most patients with ovarian carcinoma are diagnosed in advanced stages, with poor prognosis. Treatment usually involves surgery, chemotherapy, and targeted therapy. Recurrence occurs in around 70% of patients within 36 months, with metastasis through peritoneum, lymphatic drainage, and less commonly, bloodstream. Radiological imaging, especially CT, is crucial for management decisions. 2-[F-18]FDG PET/CT is effective for detection, staging, and prognosis of ovarian carcinoma, but limited evidence for evaluating therapeutic response.
