Association between prenatal rare earth elements exposure and premature rupture of membranes: Results from a birth cohort study

Summary: The study found associations between prenatal exposure to rare earth elements (Ce, Yb, La, Pr, Nd, Eu, Gd, Dy, Ho, Er, and Tm) and REE mixture with an increased risk of premature rupture of membranes (PROM), with stronger associations observed among male infants. Further studies from different populations are needed to confirm these associations and explore the mechanisms.
