Model based prediction of age-specific soil and dust ingestion rates for children

Haluk Ozkaynak et al.

Summary: This study used the SHEDS-Soil/Dust model to estimate soil and dust ingestion rates for different age groups. The results showed that infants had the lowest ingestion rates, while toddlers and young children had the highest rates. The use of pacifiers contributed to the dust ingestion rates of infants.
