Synthesis, stability, density, viscosity of ethylene glycol-based ternary hybrid nanofluids: Experimental investigations and model -prediction using modern machine learning techniques

Zafar Said et al.

Summary: A direct sol-gel technique was used to produce rGO-Fe3O4-TiO2 ternary hybrid nanocomposites, and prediction models were developed to forecast their stability and density. Machine learning techniques played a crucial role in the prediction models and proved to be more accurate than traditional analytical methods.

Energy, exergy, economic and environmental (4E) analysis of a parabolic trough solar collector using MXene based silicone oil nanofluids

Zafar Said et al.

Summary: The present study conducted a 4E (Energy, Exergy, Economic, and Environmental) analysis of a nanofluid-based parabolic trough collector (PTC) using a developed MATLAB model. The addition of MXene (Ti3C2) nanoparticles greatly enhanced the thermal conductivity of the nanofluid at the highest concentration. The PTC exhibited an optical efficiency of 79%, with thermal and exergy efficiencies of 74.71% and 22.44% respectively. The use of MXene-based silicone oil reduced system costs and increased energy gains. Additionally, there were significant CO2 mitigation and environmental benefits.
